When you need something quick and delicious for parties, try some of my favorite slider recipes like Hawaiian Ham and Pineapple Sliders, Pizza Sliders recipe, and Ham and Cheese Sliders! This easy Cheeseburger Sliders recipe is everything you love about classic burgers in slider form! All you need is a few simple ingredients and 30 minutes to whip up this easy recipe.  My family runs to the kitchen when they smell these bite-sized burgers in the oven! Anything in slider form is better than the original, right? They’re perfect as an appetizer or a quick dinner when you want a delicious cheeseburger but don’t want the hassle of grilling. They’re kid-friendly, too, as the sliders are the perfect size for little hands!

Why we love this Cheeseburger Sliders recipe:

Easy to Make Ahead: You can prep the ground beef mixture a few days beforehand, making it a breeze to assemble and bake these sliders. Great for Parties: These pull-apart sliders are my go-to for birthday parties, game day, or any special occasion where you have a hungry crowd that you need to impress.  Quick: These sliders are quick to prep and only take 15-20 minutes to bake, making them a perfect last-minute appetizer.

Cheeseburger Sliders Ingredients:

Dinner or Hawaiian rolls: These are the soft, fluffy base for our sliders. Sweet rolls like King’s Hawaiian Rolls are lightly sweet and perfect for pairing with the savory ground beef and other flavors in this recipe. If you can’t find King’s Hawaiian Rolls, any sweet rolls or fluffy dinner rolls will work. For gluten sensitivities, you can use gluten-free rolls! Lean ground beef: I recommend using at least 90% lean ground beef for this recipe as it doesn’t get too greasy, which can make the rolls soggy. If you don’t like ground beef, these sliders can also be made with ground turkey or ground chicken, but the flavor won’t be quite the same.  Medium onion: This is sautéed with the ground beef to add flavor! I finely dice up the onion so it sautés evenly and blends well with the ground beef.  Barbecue sauce, ketchup, sweet relish, salt, ground mustard, black pepper: I whipped up a delicious sauce to mix with the ground beef, giving these sliders that classic cheeseburger flavor! Cheddar cheese slices: This melty cheese is a classic for burger sliders and gets super gooey as it melts! You can use any kind of cheese you like, such as Monterey Jack, pepper Jack, white cheddar, or Swiss cheese. Thousand Islands dressing (optional): If you want an extra layer of flavor, you can add Thousand Island dressing to the sliders before baking. You can skip it if you want or make homemade Spicy Mayo or use your favorite burger sauce. Pickle slices: These give the sliders that classic burger feel and add a little tangy flavor! If you don’t like pickles, you can leave them out.  Melted butter: This is brushed over the slider buns to give them that golden brown toasty sheen. It also helps the sesame seeds stick to the buns.  Sesame seeds: These are sprinkled on top of the buns to give them a little crunch and flavor.

How to make Cheeseburger Sliders

These Cheeseburger Sliders are so easy to make with these step-by-step instructions! Check out the recipe card below for more in-depth recipe instructions.

Preheat your oven and grab a baking dish. Brown the ground beef and onion in a pan. Stir in your favorite burger fixings. Cut the stuck-together buns in half horizontally so you have a top and bottom layer.

Place the buns in a baking dish. Then, layer on cheese and Thousand Island dressing. Add the beefy mixture on top.

Add another layer of cheese and top with a layer of pickles. Brush the top of the rolls with melted butter for a golden brown finish. Sprinkle on sesame seeds if you like. Pop it in the oven until the cheese is gooey and the buns are toasted.

How to store and reheat Cheeseburger Sliders

Leftover Cheeseburger Sliders will last in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. To reheat, place the sliders in a baking dish covered in foil for 12-15 minutes at 350ºF. Alternatively, you can reheat them in the air fryer for 5-10 minutes at 375ºF!

Make-Ahead

You can make the ground beef mixture ahead of time and store it in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. I don’t recommend assembling the sliders ahead of time as they tend to get soggy!

Serving suggestions:

Cheeseburger Sliders are best served right when they come out of the oven when they’re piping hot! Serve on their own or alongside Cheesy Garlic Bread, Jalapeno Poppers, and Bacon Wrapped Smokies!
