Tips and Notes for Grilling Chicken
Marinate it! Even a little bit of marinating time can make a world of difference. So, if you don’t feel like prepping days ahead, soak it in a marinade for a couple of hours. It will work wonders! Check out my Grilled Chicken Marinade for a recipe.Season it. It’s so easy to add flavor to chicken! Rub it with any spices you like and feel free to experiment. The chicken will soak up any flavor you throw at it! Check the temperature. Chicken, particularly chicken breast, can overcook and dry out quickly. Keep an instant read thermometer on-hand so you can check the internal temperature so as not to over-cook it. Once it reaches 165ºF, pull it off the grill!Let it rest. A few minutes of resting time gives the juices (and flavor) time to settle back into the meat. Cut into it too soon and the juices will run out and result in dry chicken.
